As a user of a continence or stoma appliance you are entitled to a FREE Appliance Use Review (AUR) every year. This can either be done at the Pharmacy or we can arrange for a nurse to visit you at home.
How will the AUR benefit you?
At Hughenden Valley we developed the now widely used ‘Pharmacist Opinion: In Need of Treatment’ service.
If, after seeking advice from the Pharmacist, you need to see a doctor urgently, you will be given a form to take to your GP’s reception where you will be ‘Fast Tracked’ to see a GP for your urgent medical need.
For repeat prescriptions tear off the right hand slip from your last ordered prescription and mark which medication you require. At Hughenden Valley Surgery either put it in the white post box outside the pharmacy entrance, post it to us or use the online service at www.OurPractice.co.uk. If you wish to have your prescription posted back to you please supply a stamped addressed envelope. Repeat prescriptions are processed at 8am and are normally ready for collection two working days from that time. At exceptionally busy times dispensed medication may take up to three working days from receipt of the request. Please give as much notice as possible to ensure that you do not run out of medication and to ensure we have the medication in stock if you are a dispensing patient. Please remember that the doctor or nurse will need to see you at regular intervals to review your condition. Leave yourself enough medication in case you need an appointment.
